CONTEMPORARY WEST COAST HOMES BY A VANCOUVER ARCHITECT

FWC Architecture was established in 1995 in Vancouver by Fook Weng Chan. It is a small design studio providing personalized service on unique custom home designs.

Projects vary in scale from 100 sf playhouses to 16,500 sf estate homes. Most have been on the west coast of Canada, but there have been occasional requests to create sanctuaries in other parts of North America and Asia. In response to owners' needs, tastes and preferences, some are very simple, others highly crafted. Many include furniture design.

Many homes have been featured in Canadian and International magazines, on television's Discovery Network's "Amazing Vacation Homes", movies and exhibited in Japan.

Prior to starting his own practice, Fook Weng was with Thompson Berwick Pratt Architects & Planners and its successor firm Hemingway Nelson Architects in Vancouver for fourteen years, eleven as an Associate. He grew up in Malaysia and studied architecture at the University of Manitoba in Canada.
