Time is taken to understand both the owners and sites. Fook Weng tends to spend considerable time on sites, sometimes camping on them to discover their nuances. Similarly he sometimes visits with owners for a few days at the start of the project. Both these steps allow the designs to be more informed and successful.
Sketches and three-dimensional models are often used to help owners understand the designs. Fook Weng is personally heavily involved from start to end – from generating the concept to executing the design development of the details from large to small, and construction drawings. At times, the work extends to the design of the interiors and key furniture items.
During construction, a team approach is fostered, where the owners, builders and architect work together to best achieve a common desired end.
Our work is experientially rich. Photographs show but a small dimension of their depth. We invite you to view a small selection of our work under “PROJECTS’. The planning of each is unique, responding to each site and owner. Budgets vary, but all exude a sense of tranquility, but with rich layers of design development and detail.
