FWC Architecture is a small studio based in Vancouver, Canada that focuses solely on the design of distinctive custom homes. We have worked on projects from laneway and guest houses to estate homes, with both modest and generous budgets.
The firm is often engaged to work on challenging waterfront, cliff-side or mountain top homes. The work has been predominantly on the west coast of Canada, with the occasional project in the USA and other parts of the world.
Writers, owners and visitors have described the residences as ‘spiritual’, ‘romantic modern’, ‘crafted contemporary’ and ‘timeless’. We enjoy creating thoughtful, authentic homes that reveal the essence of the owners and sites. We strive to create a sense of tranquility and quietly dynamic presence.
FWC Architecture was an invited participant in the XV VENICE ARCHITECTURE BIENNALE, the pre-eminent exhibition on contemporary architecture in the world.
Fook Weng Chan’s work was exhibited alongside 100 architects from 6 continents at the European Cultural Centre’s ’TIME-SPACE-EXISTENCE’ event organized by the Global Art Affairs Foundation founded in New York, and based in the Netherlands and Venice.
